Made for easy installation with a door liner that can be trimmed for a custom fit, this Cat Mate product is ideal for almost all doors, panels and walls. The transparent material is made from durable polymer and allows your cat to peak through. It’s designed with a tamper-proof, four-way lock for safety and security and has a draft and weatherproof brush sealed flap with a magnetic closure to protect against wind and rain.

- Place template in desired position on door and draw round it. (We recommend the bottom of the hole is approximately level with your pet’s stomach.)
- Use an electric jig-saw to cut along inside of drawn line. Be careful to cut hole square to the door, particularly with thicker doors. Ensure frames are free-fitting in hole.
- Determine thickness of door panel (t).
- If necessary, cut interior frame (frame without swinging flap) to correct length with sharp knife. Keep hands clear of blade and support inside of moulding with a suitable piece of wood.
- For door panels 0 – 7/8 inches thick
- Position interior frame on inside of door and mark four screw positions.
- Remove frame and drill screw clearance holes in panel to approximately 3/16 inch diameter.
- Select appropriate screws.
- Position exterior frame on outside of door. Screw interior frame to it by using appropriate screw for panel thickness (t) (see Fig. 8). Finally, fit screw caps.
- For door panels 7/8 inches+ thick
- Drill out four screw holes in exterior frame to allow close clearance on screws.
(Recommended drill 3/16 inch diameter). - Screw interior frame on inside of door, using short 1/2 inch screws.
- Screw exterior frame on outside of door using 3/4 inch screws. Finally, fit screw caps.
